Procedures for the development of literacy in terms of the small school

The subject of this thesis is the issue of the development of literacy skills of pupils in primary education through conditions offered by small schools. The aim is to analyze the possibility of developing reading literacy among pupils in the first grade of primary school in terms of the small schools; setup and subsequent use of good conditions for the development of reading. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are defined the theoretical background related to the above mentioned issues. Custom research was carried out through action research, completed a questionnaire that the children completed at the beginning and end of the period. The main objective was to determine the initial state of literacy in groups of pupils and through changes in education, the creation of good conditions and use innovative methods to monitor the process of the individual activities of students, capturing deficiencies and seek alternative approaches and solutions. Zdeňka Michalová Psychologické aspekty individualizace přístupu k žákům se specifickými poruchami učení Individualization of Approach to Learnes with Specific Learning Disabilities and It's Psychological Aspects Annotation This thesis deals with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of teachers in primary schools for specific learning disabilities. It focuses mainly on mapping the level of teachers' approach to integrated learners with this disorder. It is trying to grasp the extent to which teachers meet the psychological aspects of individual approach to these learners in inclusive environment of a primary school compared with integrated learners with other disabilities. The theoretical part summarises basic information on education, integration and education system in the Czech Republic. It deals with specific learning disabilities and attempts to apply the findings from positive psychology on individual approach to individuals with SLD. The empirical part analyses and compares the quantitative survey of knowledge level of teachers at lower and higher levels of primary schools about SLD. Work-life balance

Thesis focuses the topic of work-life balance in the context of psychology connecting the knowledge and practices of the applied field of work and organizational psychology. The theoretical part is devoted to defining work-life balance while considering the variability of psychological aspects considering the topic. It also characterizes selected areas of work-life balance, summarizes individual personality, developmental and social determinants that were in relation to the work-life balance research proved. Subsequently, attention is moved to the particular tools and strategies which can be useful in achieving or sustaining work-life balance, considering two basic levels. On the one hand, considering individual personal level in achieving balance of individual and on the other hand, the strategies and tools provided by organization leading to the work-life balance. The second part presents a proposal for a research project that aims is to track the relationship between the amount of time devoted to selected areas in the life of an individual, quality of spending time in terms of overall satisfaction and perceived fullness and desire or openness to change in individual's life in selected areas in the perceived work-life balance. Applying of personality traits of headteacher in area of leadership

Final thesis describes to what extent the current school practice puts attention to personality qualities of headteacher in area of leadership. The topic is based on the experience, knowledge and abilities that use the present headmasters of elementary schools in practice. The aim of the work and selected combined investigation using methods of "shadowing" of structured and unstructured interviews and a questionnaire survey was to describe the extent to which personal qualities headteacher of elementary schools appear in contemporary educational practice in area of leadership. In the theoretical part, the author focused on gathering information from a wide resource that can provide a wider range of these areas (psychology, leadership, self-management, self-esteem, etc.). These were mainly the vocational literature on leadership, human personality and competencies. An important contribution was a personal meeting and interview with Mr. Prof. PhDr. Z. Helusem, DrSc. How to keep and develop the children's inner motivation at the beginning of the school attendance

This thesis focuses on keeping and developing the inner motivation for learning in the first class of the primary waldorf school, where the author works as a class teacher. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the characterization of the term inner motivation, its sorts and describes which methods are helping to its keeping. Further there is a description of specific ways of teaching at waldorf school. For the practical part of the thesis author of this dissertation uses method action teacher's research. She observes four selected pupils from her class. During one school year she determines the most suitable strategies of teaching lessons so the inner motivation for learning is supported. Results of research confirm when pupils are motivated, they are active and they cooperate more.

Charles University Prague The diploma thesis deals with the issue of individual (home) education in the Czech Republic. It aims to introduce an alternative form of the approach to home education, where the implementation is transferred to an educational association. In the theoretical part, the work specifies the basic concepts and describes the mentioned issues. It also clarifies the legislative approach and compares it with other approaches to individual (home) education both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The main part of the work is focused on the presentation of the possibility of home education through an educational association. The research part of the thesis covers the processing of this issue from the perspective of legal representatives. As a research method, the work uses quantitative analysis of data obtained in the form of questionnaires filled out by parents of pupils in individual (home) education who attend the educational association KT 19 registered association. Structured Teaching in School Practice and its Use in the Education of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

The thesis presents structured teaching and its use in classes where children with autism spectrum disorder are educated. The research focuses on how teachers apply the principles of structured learning in the education of individual pupils. Our intention is to link research to practice. We have chosen a qualitative survey to go into the depth of the chosen issue. We start from analyzes of interviews with pedagogical staff. We want to clarify what are the advantages and disadvantages of this method. We are interested in why pedagogical staff recommend structured learning for children with ASDs to teachers, assistants and parents. We want to pass on the research experience to other teachers for further use in their daily practice.
